General Information: www.hawaii.gov This site has numerous links for virtually all of the issues regarding life here in Hawaii.
School Information: www.doe.k12.hi.us This site has all the information you will need to research the potential schools. You can navigate by public, private, and military schools and find each school near your area.
Crime Information: www.honolulupd.org This site has the crime statistics for the 8 regions of oahu broken out for you through 2005. That is what most home buyers are interested in, but there is also much more police department information at your fingertips as well.
Housing Information: www.kapolei.com Here is where my obvious bias comes in. I totally believe in the future potential of the western area of Oahu. If you are looking for growth in the market, you cannot go wrong in the west. Just ask Paul Brewbaker, chief economist for Bank of Hawaii (www.boh.com/econ). This site gives you the housing, education, employment, business, map etc. information that you need to research the "Second City" for Oahu.
If you are looking to have a great custom website built, then take a look at www.hawaiiwebsitebuilder.com and see if they can meet your needs. You can e-mail them at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Of course, there are many other great sites available to find the information you are looking for about Hawaii's housing, but these will definitely get you started. If you do come across a great one, please E-Mail me and maybe I will add it for my future clients.
